Vintage kilim rug handwoven in Turkey with hemp fiber. Turkish villagers produced hemp stalk until the 60s when its production was prohibited together with its cousin, medical cannabis. These Anatolian rugs with modern appeal were mostly woven for drying fruits, to store wheat or as floor covers. This minimalistic rug measures 6' 3" x 14' 6" (75" x 174").

Kilim.com upon my request for more color info, took additional pictures with crayons and paint swatches sitting on the carpet. That solidified my choice. The rug arrived quickly and the way it was folded and shipped left the rug without marks when placed on the floor.
